The end of the cruise

I know I said I would post pictures on Monday morning, and now it's Tuesday morning, but it does take a day to recover from such a great trip!

Someone asked me for a close-up picture of the tattoo as it was hard to see in the earlier photos.
So, here it is, modeled by Jayson and Nick:

And just a few photos from the show on Saturday:

I am exhausted so rested after this cruise and I really can't wait for a cup of coffee the next Sing Live trip! Hope you'll join us!!

Last Day at Sea

I realize that I haven’t posted a blog in a couple of days, but time does get away from you when you’re cruising!
I did get Kevin to take this one picture in St. Maarten from the water taxi.

Friday was a day at sea. We had a rehearsal in the morning and Kevin led a couple of Barbershop workshops during the day. Sing Live UK’s Bob Hodgkiss was on hand as an experienced Barbershopper to help out. Kevin and Bob taught “tag singing” and even had John Morris singing a tag.

On Saturday, we had a full run-through rehearsal of the show.

And then it was up to the Lido Deck. Sarai and Pam thought it would be a great idea to get Sing Live tattoos. Who knew it would be so popular?!

Even the guys decided to get in on it!

We'll be home tomorrow night and will post pictures on Monday morning of the fabulous concert on board the Carnival Valor.

Wednesday was a beautiful day in St. Thomas. There was plenty of fun with activities including eating, swimming, eating, snorkeling, eating, city tours, eating, shopping, eating, karaoke, eating and dancing. I must mention that the ship is sitting a little lower in the water – must be due to all the jewels that were purchased in St. Thomas!
Here are a couple of pictures from the dining room:

Sing Live USA and UK take over the Karaoke Bar:

After the Karaoke room closed down, we moved on to the Dance Club:

They finally kicked us out of here, too, so it was time for the disco club. Unfortunately, I was done for the night, so there are no pictures of the disco dancing!

No time to blog as we are having too much fun!!

Monday was a rainy day in Nassau – although many people went ashore and enjoyed various activities.
Tuesday proved to be much better as the sun was shining all day.
We had an early morning rehearsal and then lots of time to relax as it was a day at sea. Lots of people enjoyed the sunshine out on the decks and others enjoyed a line dancing class in the early afternoon. We had more singing later on in the afternoon with a special guest pianist - none other than John Morris himself!!

Here are two very tired guys after a long rehearsal . . .

And of course there was also lots of fun, food and fellowship.

We're Sailing

We are on the ship!!
And glad to be here after a rough start! One of the four buses that we were traveling on had mechanical difficulties and we spent an hour in a rest area on the turnpike as they tried to fix it.
Then the decision was made to unload everyone and their luggage and squeeze them into the other three buses.
This is one very full bus!
Oh, did I mention that it was raining as we were doing this?!? Just as we got down to the last few people, the bus problem was fixed and we traveled on with three very full buses and one fairly empty bus. But we couldn’t change things back as by this point we were anxious about getting to the ship on time! The nice thing about arriving at the port so late was that most people were already on board, making our check in process go very quickly.

Everyone seemed to head straight to the Lido deck for food and then the Sail Away Party.
Here are some pictures of the fun!
